Brett Matthews grew up in a musical family, with close and distant relatives being his musical inspiration. He began teaching himself guitar at 13 years old, after failed guitar lessons, he quickly learned to play by ear. Singing was always present in his childhood household, and years of practice and improving has gotten him where he is today. He began as a bedroom musician, soon after he learned to write and record, bringing him to the NSCC Recording Arts program, after Highschool. Since then, Brett has joined local Hip Hop Artist - Classified's band, touring with him for the last 3 years, all while perfecting his craft.
